Many apps automatically backup to iCloud after you install them on your device. However, you can change which apps backup to Apple iCloud and remove existing backups of that application’s data from your iCloud storage. This can be very useful if you need to free up additional storage space within your Apple iCloud account.

If you're using iOS 5 or later, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage. Tap the name of your iOS device.
  2. Under Backup Options, turn off any apps that you no longer want to back up.
  3. You'll be asked to confirm this change. Choose “Turn Off & Delete” if you want to turn off backups for that app and remove all of its data from Apple iCloud.
