uKnowKids from provides the Social Scan feature to help parents identify whether their child has accounts on some of the top social networking, photo sharing and gaming sites. With Social Scan, you can search about a dozen of these sites (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Foursquare, YouTube, and Xbox LIVE) for profiles, both hidden and public, that may belong to your child. Social Scan then shows all the potential profiles that it has been able to locate, allowing parents to get a clearer picture of how their children is representing themselves on these popular sites.

Social Scan runs its search based on the information you provided: your child’s e-mail address, nicknames, school name and possible screen names. Please keep in mind that like all search engines, your search results cannot be guaranteed and will be heavily influenced by the search criteria you provide. If you have not yet provided this information or would like to update it, you can always do so in the settings of the Social Scan tab.

Note that the Social Scan feature is intended for identifying social profiles – it does not monitor these profiles.
